This was an idea from about 9 years ago and still we don't have this simple and essential functionality. I want to delete an old folder of reports, but can't do than until I delete the reports inside it and delete the reports from the recycle bin. But can't do that on just those reports. So frustrating, so now I have to either delete all the items in my recycle bin or wait until they expire before I can delete the folder. What a waste of time, please implement this.

As an Administrator it is routine task to delete records and files. It would be great if can select specific items from recycle bin ti remove peremenently instaed of empty my all/org recycle bin. Currently I have to use workbench to delete it and it is time taking process. Please have this feature asap.thanks

completely agree with every comment posted the last decade on this topic.. a basic functionality that should be standard in any platform.. it's unreasonable to make users wait 15 days to be able to do basic cleaning for dashboards and reports. Please salesforce, get this in the next release!!!

When I try and delete an empty report or dashboard folder an error pops up, "Deletion Problems... Before deleting this folder, you need to delete these reports from the folder and the Recycle Bin."
Usefully, it lists the reports which are preventing me from deleting the folder. How about adding a button "Delete these reports entirely" so I can delete the folder without waiting 15 days? I am doing a big report clean-up and it is so frustrating to be prevented from deleting folders! I don't want to empty my recycle bin, just remove a few odd reports.
