State and Country should be pick lists

We have many people around the world that don't type in the correct country and state name. How can we get these to be pick lists?

Allow more than 3 columns in dashboards

widescreen monitors at 1650x1050 resolutions could probably fit 5-6 columns of dashboard components, why limit it to 3?? expand option to up to 6 columns

Exception Reporting (outer joins)

Coming in the Next Release

There needs to be the ability to run exception or without reports. For example: show me all Accounts without an Opportunity. It would also be nice to include the total number of accounts in the report so % comparisons could be made. For example: of the 1000 Accounts in salesforce.com, 350 did not have Opportunities, hence 35% of all accounts are without an opportunity.

Cross Object Workflow

Do not hard code the Object (see above image) when creating Workflow Field Updates. Allow administrators to choose a field to pass based on a relationship (lookup or master detail). For example, a Workflow Rule based on Case would be allowed to have a Workflow Field Update change a Contact field for the Contact record associated with the Case.

Dependent page layouts - data rules to show, hide, or make fields/sections req'd

There are times when it would be ideal to show different fields or sections on a page based on field data. For example, if a field for "software interest" is selected on a lead page, it would be nice if a section and/or fields related to capturing more information on "Software" is displayed. If the field is not selected, then this section and/or fields remain hidden. Allowing greater customization on the page level based on data rules would make for more manageable and targeted page layouts.

Report on multiple related lists at the same time

Users need to be able to report on multiple related lists at the same time, for instance Contacts and their cases and their opportunities. Cases and Opportunities aren't linked, so the only link is through the contact.

Nesting Folders / Sub-folders for Reports, Dashboards, Email Templates, etc.



It would be great if we could create folder hierarchies for Reports, Dashboards, Documents, Email Templates etc. I have had many, many Salesforce users and admins request this feature. It would especially make the Reports tab a lot easier to navigate, and would help administrators be able to keep analytics better organized and easier to find - which would greatly help user adoption.

Login As....any role, any profile



It would be excellent if administrators could login as any user role and profile combination to test out settings directly in the production environment.

This is similar to the functionality currently available where one can login as a user however
1. You wouldn't need to get the user to grant you access
2. You could test out role and profile combinations not yet assigned to a user

This would be extremely useful for verifying that users have visibility and functionality that they require BEFORE they complain that they don't have it.

Filter on Lookup

I would like to filter lookup view to restrict records return based on some condition. Example: On opportunity screen, we have Accounts as lookup. When you click on lookup it displays all the types of accounts (Like OEM / Parent / Customer / Partner etc ...) I would like to filter this result set to show only "Parent" type. Condition may change based on the screen where lookup is implemented
